Molten Peak Volcano Dice Tower and Science Kit
Unleash the power of a volcano—for fun and learning!
The Molten Peak Volcano Dice Tower and Science Kit is a versatile 3D-printable set that combines entertainment and education. This set includes two versions of the same volcano design, each with a unique purpose. You'll have a fully functional dice roller with a volcano aesthetic, perfect for tabletop RPGs like DnD, Pathfinder, and more. Roll your dice through the molten peaks for an epic gaming experience. You'll also have a fun and reusable alternative to traditional papier-mâché volcanoes for kids’ science experiments. Simply add the recipe below to demonstrate the classic acid-base reaction in a more durable and exciting way.
Whether you're gaming with friends or teaching chemistry to kids, the Molten Peak offers a fun experience. It’s perfect for classrooms, homeschool projects, or just family fun.
Mini Volcano Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tbsp baking soda (15g)
1/4 tsp dish soap
2-3 drops food coloring
1 oz (30 mL) white vinegar
Instructions:
Place your volcano on a tray or plate to catch the foam.
Add baking soda, dish soap, and food coloring to the top volcano’s opening.
Slowly pour in vinegar and enjoy the eruption! 🌋
Here is how It Works: When baking soda (a base) mixes with vinegar (an acid), they react and create a gas called carbon dioxide. This gas forms lots of bubbles, and the dish soap traps them, making foamy eruptions. The food coloring adds cool, colorful effects—just like a volcano exploding! 🌋
You can also try these ideas: Try changing the colors. Add different food coloring to make a rainbow explosion! 🌈 Add Glitter, sprinkle in some glitter to make your eruption magical and sparkly. ✨ Mix It Up: Use more or less baking soda, vinegar, or soap to see how it changes the size of the eruption. What happens if you use a lot of vinegar? Or just a little soap? Experiment and find out! 🧪

3D Printing Information
Includes:
Molten Peak Volcano Dice Tower STL file
Molten Peak Volcano Science Kit STL file
Technology: The files are optimized for FDM PLA Printing. No support needed.
For safe use with the vinegar-based experiment, we recommend 3D printing with PLA or PETG, as they are durable and non-toxic; avoid UV resin unless fully cured and sealed!
Rinse and dry the volcano thoroughly after the experiment to prevent long-term degradation from the acid of the vinegar.
The Dice Tower should not be scaled down if you don’t want to affect its functionality with standard dice sizes.
The time to print, dimensions and material quantity may vary depending on your 3D printer, your print settings and the size you decide to print the model.
The printing tests were carried out on a Bambu Lab X1-Carbon 3D printer.
